Past Due

I've had a few visitors over the last year or so comment on the number of condiments I have in my fridge. I don't really have a standard to judge this, but apparently I'm over the limit.

So I started looking at some "Best Before This Date" labels, and realized I've been hoarding condiments. Like they're going to stop making Kraft Catalina dressing or something. I had stuff that was 5+ years old in there, which is incredible and a little terrifying at the same time.

I figure it's another slow step into full-on craziness. Fine.

I threw most of that shit out (including some sketchy squeeze jelly) and got a chance to hit restart on my condiment assortment. This must be what being born again feels like. It's glorious.

Dude, you know I am going to be sad to open up that fridge and not see three things of salad dressing and a bunch of butter. Plus, those condiments actually made your fridge look full!

Wait, aren't you the one that throws a fit every few months over the state of the fridge at work?

Whoa..of all people, it's amazing that you let anything perishable sit anywhere in your place for that length of time.
What's your limit on dairy products out on the counter again?
I'm pretty sure we've had this conversation before.

I don't know if I have a hard and fast rule, but if the milk has been out long enough to be warm, I'm throwing that shit out.

And that fridge at work is beyond gross. It makes me mad just thinking about it.

Letting milk get warm on the counter (or more likely in a sippy cup on the floor somewhere!) is a bad thing!?! Uh-oh....you may not want to eat anything dairy-based in our house over Christmas.
