"You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."
Somebody used this little idiom in a meeting the other day. I honestly didn't know what to say. I wanted to ask if they were shitting me. I didn't.
It might be my least-favorite saying in a while, though. And kinda gross, too. I mean, a pig's ear? I'm not making anything out of a nasty pig ear.
