Rainspot has been getting blown out, no question. It used to be the spot under a bridge with a decent ledge/drop to skate when the weather sucked. Eventually the secret got out, though, and people started getting creative down there. A few quarterpipes, bank ramps, and shepard fairey art has made it a whole new spot, but there are downsides.

I've heard some talk about skaters getting robbed down there, and some guys I know were down there shredding when a bunch of lil' thuggies came through trying to pee on the skate jammy jam.

After a near-scuffle someone called the police, who actually came through in fine form. Instead of sweeping in and arresting everyone (it's not exactly legal to just take over a spot and make it a skatepark), like assface NW cops, they rounded up the mini-thugs and even said they knew we skated down there and didn't care.

About time somebody recognized that skating isn't evil. Dick Cheney is evil. Skating is just skating.
