If I was going to build a trapdoor in my floor, I would make it look just like this. I'd put the handle in the middle of the door, so you could pull it straight up, and I would probably make it sturdy brass like this.
When I go over to Flynn's, I always wonder which of his trapdoor cabinets will lead me to Nihm. No way they're all really cabinets.
