I think I've seen this movie before...The misunderstood genius, lagging in obscurity until they break out and blow everyone's minds with their unbelievable skill....Julia Stiles was great in this role, and so was Matthew Modine and about a million other people in corny, heartfelt feel-good stories.
Now we've got pro skateboarders making Gleaming The Cube 2 and trying to pass it off as an original idea. I could care less if Ryan Dunn (shocking he was available, btw) is in it, or if there are actual pros skating in it or whatever. One word: Corny.
I'm all for guys making a living, but this is ridiculous. The cameo by Ryan Sheckler doesn't help, either. Can't wait till the trademarked backpack and thermos come out.
